Would like to hear from anyone else having info on the following surnames-- SHARRARD, LAMPHERE, BRUSH, CALDWELL (CAUGHILL or COWELL), MATTHEWS, VANCE, MORDEN, ALLEN, BADGEROW, STEPHENS, TITUS, or SKINNER in Michigan, NY, or Ontario. I am especially trying to locate a death date for a Rachel BADGEROW-SHARRARD who lived in St. Clair and Sanilac Counties with her husband Joshua. I think she died about 1880-1885. Any info on any of these families would be greatly appreciated.

WILSON, George St.Clair Co., Mich., 1837-1901(?) My great-great grandfather came from English Canada to St.Clair Co. in 1874. I'm looking for information on who his parents were, where in Canada he lived, his religion, and also info on his wife LOUSBURY (LOUNSBURY ? ), Sarah J. b. 1843 and children: Anne Louise, Lucinda E., Harris, Charles and Phoebe. All children were born in Canada. Looking for information on Louis TROMBLY or KROMBLY wife Sara LAVAGN or LARAQUE. He was a millwright and early settler in Port Huron, MI. Their daughter was Mary T(K)rombley, she married Edward MCGOWEN Great Lakes Captain, and Commander of US gunboat "Fessenden" The McGowen childern were Marietta Clare McGowen HUFFMAN, Edward J., Anna I. McGowen PORRITT, Edgar David, Hugh, Julia McGowen HUNT, twins Fred and Harry,...Dan Frances and Ida died as children, Minnie McGowen LEWIS, Cathrine McGowen MOSS, and Alice Lanore McGowen MCCOLLUM. Re: STAHLBUSCH / STAHLBUSH According to the 1900,1910 and 1920 censuses, Charles STAHLBUSCH and his wife, Anna E. (maiden name unknown) were residents of Port Huron, St. Clair County. Charles was born Dec 1853, married in 1884 Anna who was born Jan 1859. They had three children: Verna M., born Apr 1889; Bertha born Apr 1891; and Ernest H. born July 1899. There was also one child born but not living at the time of the censuses. Is anyone researching this family? I would like any information or suggestions. I am trying to find out where he came from before immigrating in 1872. Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated.

DRISCOLL / NIEMAN 1880, Mussey Township: Cornelius DRISCOLL, age 39,farmer, born Ontario, parents, Daniel DRISCOLL and Mary SEXTON both born Ireland; Bertha NIEMAN, age 26, wife, born New York, parents both born Prussia; Mary Louise, age 4, daughter, born Michigan; John Henry, age 2, son, born Michigan. Cornelius also listed as ship builder and sailor on sons birth certificate. Could have worked at Jinks shipyard on Black River. Where's Mussey Township? Can't find on my map. Any information on my relatives would be appreciated.

Would welcome any information on Hiram K. WRIGHT b. cir 1842 in MI. Married Martha PERKINS on 12/20/1863 in Port Huron, St Clair Cnty, MI. Martha was dau of Joel and Sarah PERKINS. Hiram & Martha's only child Charles E. WRIGHT. Martha and Charles moved to NE to homestead with Hiram's father, Amos WRIGHT. Where was Hiram?

I am interested in finding out about the surname JUSTIN. I think they came to St. Clair county around 1830-1840. My branch of the family moved to Gladwin MI., but I dont know when. Some of the names I have heard are: William, Charles, Alonzo, Herbert, and Richard. One female was Nina . Herbert (my great grandfather) married a Josie MCCLINTOCK, but I dont know when or where. ROBERTSON, James; b. 11 Aug 1795 St Clair Co Probably in Cotterville. Wife's name Theodate Millard POTTER. Son of William ROBERTSON grandson of John ASKIN and Manette. William's wife was Sarah EDWARDS. Large Family outside of Marine City. Would like any and all information on these family members. James' son was Hiram ROBERTSON a Captain on the Great Lakes. Hiram's wife was Mary Louise HIGLEY a school teacher in Saint Clair.

I am looking for information on my CARMAN family history. My Great Grandfather, George Weson CARMAN, came to Memphis, Michigan with his parents Joseph Gardiner CARMAN and Susan Louisa (Gould) CARMAN in about 1850. His grandfather (Joseph) and aunt (Lydia Dudley) came too. George married in NY in 1876 to Harriet LACY. He started the Marine Savings Bank in Marine City with a Mr. Porter in about 1890. The bank is still there as a Michigan National Bank. George and Harriet had 8 children, but only 3 have descendants living today. His oldest son was John Lacy CARMAN , born 3 July 1885 and died 30 August, 1934. He took over the bank when his father, George W. CARMAN died on 9, November 1918. John Lacy CARMAN married Hazel ADIX of Detroit (born in Minnesota). I am also looking for information on her ADIX family too. When John Lacy Carman (my grandfather) died in 1934, non of his sons were old enough to take over working at the bank, so that was the end of the CARMAN family in banking. John and Hazel had three children: Joseph Adix CARMAN, Robert Leete CARMAN, and Philip Sackett CARMAN. Philip Sackett CARMAN was my father. I am researching the BERNIER (Bernia) and SALGAT (Salgot) families. Dosithee BERNIA married Catherine SALGAT and lived in Casco Township. He died in 1919; she died in 1908. I am interested in finding the names of their children and the families of their children. Catherine was the daughter of Francis SALGAT (Salgot) and Marianne CHAPPUIS. They were immigrants from Switzerland (arriving at New York in 1852 and settling in St. Clair county shortly thereafter). Any information would be appreciated.

Am seeking information on the descendants of Thomas E. BRENNAN and his wife, Margaret DUNN, both born in Ireland and immigrated to Ft. Gratiot, MI via Ontario, Canada in about 1855. In 1852 the family was in the London, Ontario area where their daughter, Mary Ann, was born. Children include Mary Ann who married (1869) Michael CALLANAN and Julia Johanna who married Richard SOMES, and several others. I am looking for information on PHENIX or PHOENIX families of St. Clair County, Michigan State, USA. They are descended from Francois-Amable PHENIX and Francoise BRUNEAU, both from St-Charles-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, Canada. The early PHENIX settled themselves circa 1800 in Detroit, Michigan then they moved to Marine City, Port Huron, Fort Gratiot, Colombus, St-Francois Clinton River, etc.
