HILL, MORAN posted by Deanna Staley on Sunday, February 15, 1998
Minnie MORAN married Thomas B. HILL 19 July, 1893 in Goodels. On the marriage certificate Minnie's father is listed as Orrin MORAN. Mother is not listed. It lists her as being born in Riley Township, but no record exists. I believe her name may have been Marinda. She was born in September, 1871. Does anybody have any information on Orrin MORAN or his wife? Any information would be appreciated.

KEOPFGEN, LAWLER, MUDGE, WONCH posted by Deanna Staley on Monday, February 16, 1998
Abigail WONCH, b. 1821 in New York, married Isaac MUDGE b. 1822 in Canada. They settled in St. Clair County Michigan. Isaac was a Doctor, as was his son Horace--my gg grandfather. Have a lot of information on the MUDGE family, but nothing on WONCH. Horace married Anna Jane KEOPFGEN who was the daughter of Frederick KEOPFGEN b. 1812 in Prussia, and Anna LAWLER, b. March 1820 in Ireland. Have some KEOPFGEN information, but none for LAWLER. All four families settled in the St. Clair County area, Wales Township I believe.
DARLING, DUNCAN posted by Deanna Staley on Monday, February 16, 1998
Family tradition states that my ggg grandmother was a French Countess who married an Irish drunken sailor and had to leave the country because her family disapproved of the marriage. Census fact of St. Clair County Michigan shows Robert DARLING b. July 1830, married to an Elizabeth b. 1834 in Canada, but with a mother born in France, and a father born in Ireland. Somewhere I found that her maiden name may have been DUNCAN, but cannot prove that. Does anyone have any information they could share? Would love to find more on this couple. Robert DARLING's father was James DARLING, b. 1820 in Ireland. Robert's wife was also b. in Ireland, but do not have her name.

KRONNER posted by Mary Kronner Hnatiuk on Sunday, February 22, 1998
Michael KRONNER, my great-grandfather, was keeper of the St. Clair County Poor House from 1858 to 1864. He came from Landshut, Bavaria around 1846 according to his obituary in a Richmond newspaper. Descendants include Grants, Wards, Fitzgeralds, Niebauers, and others all from neighboring areas in Michigan. I'm just starting on this project and would appreciate any information I can get and am willing to share what little information my mother left.
