The following is the action of the Presbytery in regard to the death of Father Cathcart, at their meeting in Valparaiso, Apr. 8th, 1861….
It having been announced to Presbytery that William Cathcart, Ruling Elder of the Church of Constantine departed this life on the 18th of January 1861, Presbytery would here record their appreciation of the faithfulness of Brother Cathcart as a R. Elder during the years of weakness and trial of that church and their gratitude to the good Shepherd for his case of this his Servant.
