My grandmother, Mabel HAYDEN, married three times: (1) Clarence Roy YOUELLS b. 5/9/1883 d. 12/21/1918; Parents, George W. YOUELLS & Emma COTTRELL, who married Mr. W. A. VAUGHN after George's death. Clarence's sister, Ethel M. YOUELLS married Harry E./Harley? WELCHER and they had four girls: Jo, Georgia (M Doyle CARPENTER), Leeta (m. HUTCHINS) and Elanor/Elenora. Clarence, Mabel and their children Emma and George, lived in Decatur from 1911 till sometime after the influenza epidemic in 1918 when Clarence died. (2) Jett Eldo BAGLEY b. 1/16/1892 d.6/10/1936 (burst appendix); sisters, Emily b.? d.? and Alma 1893 - 1969 married into the FEENSTRA and WAITE families, living their entire lives in the Decatur area. We think Jett, Mabel and the children (George and Emma, and Leola, Gladys, and Margaret (Peggy)) were living in Bloomingdale at that time. That is all we know about Jett and his sisters (nothing about their parents)....would love to know anything more. (3) Charles Otis LONG; son of Fredrick/Fredrik? LONG/LANG?, met Mabel in Bloomingdale, MI. The Longs relocated to Indiana around Atwood and Etna Green. The YOUELLS have a family plot (with gravestones and monuments) in the Hamilton twp cemetery and the other families must also be nearby, since they never left the area. Would anyone be willing to pay a visit and pass along what they find? Addresses of places in the area which might have related documents or information would also be VERY much appreciated. We know nothing about Michigan. Thanks in advance for anything you can pass along.

My Great-Grandparents were Harry Jay BUTTON and Katherine Medora TUTTLE, daughter of Grant Wheat TUTTLE and Kate A. COREY. The obituary of Mrs. Kate BUTON puzzles me. The following is a quote "MRS. KATE BUTTON DIES AT HER HOME--Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Grant POWELL, Van Buren Pioneers."Mrs. Kate BUTTON, 65, widow of Harry J. BUTTON, died at her home, 832 Elmwood Street, at 8:30 Monday evening." The paper was dated June 18, 1935, The Kalamazoo Gazette. "Mrs. BUTTON has lived in the neighborhood of her home for over 53 years and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Grant POWELL pioneer residents of Van Buren County." This is the right person because it lists my grandmother Harriet Genevieve BUTTON GRABILLl and her sisters as her children. The other daughter was Kathryn Louise BUTTON HOPPE. My great-aunt Florence BUTTON married W. GRANT POWELL of Downey, California. That might be where the confusion comes in, but I don't know. The obituary of her father "Lieut. TUTTLE Passes Away" dated February 20, 1920, lists three daughters, Mrs. John S. TAPPAN of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Harry BUTTON, and Mrs. Douglas RICKMAN of this city, a brother George TUTTLE, and sister, Mrs. Sarah PUGSLEY, both of Paw Paw." Any information would be appreciated.

I am researching FULLER. My great-great grandfather, William Pierce FULLER (born 1831 in Harmony, NY), moved to Paw Paw, Van Buren County, MI around 1850 and stayed there until 1861. He married Martha LONGWELL, daughter of John LONGWELL, at John LONGWELL's residence in Paw Paw (approx. 1852). William and Martha had a number of children; John Edmond FULLER (my great grandfather) was born in Van Buren Co. on Aug 24, 1859. I am trying to find more information about William's father (Elvah or Alva FULLER) whom I believe moved to Van Buren County with William. William and Martha moved to Wisconsin (Madison, WI, I think) in 1861 then returned to Chester Township, Eaton County, Michigan in 1867 where they remained until their deaths. William's brother, Daniel P. FULLER  (born 1833 in Harmony, NY), also moved to Van Buren Co. with the family. He married Alice in Van Buren Co. in approx. 1859. A few years later he enlisted in the Third Michigan Cavalry and served during the Civil War. He moved to Eaton Co, MI after the war. Other related Fullers in Van Buren Co, MI: Solon FULLER lived in Van Buren Co. (1860 census). His children included Lafayette (born in 1853) and William R. (born in Troy, OH in 1847--his children were Maud and Harry). Any information about these or other Fullers in Van Buren County is appreciated.
