Brownstown Charter Township
Brownstown Charter Township was established in 1827 as one of the nine orginal Wayne County townships. The township was named for Adam Brown who had been kidnapped and raised by Wyandot Indians. During the War of 1812 the Battle of Brownstown was fought here. |
