Flat Rock
Flat Rock was originally a Wyandot Native American settlement and reservation until about 1830. The first European settlers were the Michael Vreeland family who arrive between 1811 and 1820. It was platted in 1838 and became a village in 1923 and city in 1965. The name refers to a limestone rock outcrop on the south side of the Huron River. |
