
River Rouge
| River Rouge was incorporated as a village in 1899 out of Ecorse Township. It was incorporated as a city in 1922 to prohibit Detroit from annexing it. The frieghter Edmund Fitzgerald was constructed at the Great Lakes Engineering Works in River Rouge. |
