| In the 1940's cultural institutions
in Hamtramck included: Tau Beta Community House, YMCA, Saint Anne's
Community House and the Friendship House. The library still continues to
function as a cultural center, they maintain their small collection of
books in Polish located in the southwest corner of the Library.
