Rick Dawe Wed Sep 16 1998
I'm looking for any information on a Elsa HOOK (ALGER), Frank CARNEY, and Francis or William DAWE. Elsa was a Hook and adopted by Alger I believe or vice-versa. She married a Carney in the mid to late 20's to 30's and later married Francis Dawe; son of William F Dawe. I'm not sure how much time the Dawe's were in the area, but I think the Carney's were probably there longer. Any help you could provide on marriage or birth/death would be greatly appreciated.

Henry Newman is a native of Whitehall, N.Y. In 1860 he enlisted in the regular army, and remained in service seven years. He retired from the army in 1867 and located at Charlevoix. He followed coopering a few years and then gardening. In 1872 he opened the first bakery at Charlevoix and has carried on that business ever since. He has a wife and five children. I am searching for any information on Cain and Elizabeth DERENZY. She came to MI in the late 1800's. He is said to have died in Canada. They had several children; William, George, Elizabeth and Frances. Thank you for your time.
Edward and William Derenzy of Echo Township were brothers. Possibly John was also their brother and there may have been other siblings. I have dates for William born in 1850 and Edward born in 1840. Edward C. Derenzy was my husband's great-great grandfather.
William Derenzy and Edward Derenzy are believed to be brothers. William E. Derenzy is the son of Edward and Madora Scott. Clifford Derenzy is the son of William E. and Murriel Spence. -
