A newspaper article from 1846, about a snakebite.

Mr. Preserved Coon, (Phœbus! what a name!) of Dryden, says the Ithica Chronicle of the 11th ult., was bitten in the hand by a rattlesnake with which he was amusing himself on Sunday.—The effect of the poison was very severe, but we are informed he is likely to recover.
