- I am trying to find the death of Mary Schoch between 1910 and 1921. Her fathers name is Henry Williams and her mother is Elizabeth Loree. I believe she was born July 1867 in Livingston Co. Mi. but lived in Mecosta Co. She had two children by her first marriage to John Berlin. Their names are Burr Berlin and Paulina Berlin (married name Amsdill. Mary's spouse at the time of her death was Henry Schoch. (spelling could vary)

- I am looking for info on John C. Cox (Koch) and his wife Anna Madsen. They also had a nephew named Hans Cox. John changed the surname from Koch to Cox. They owned a restuarant in Big Rapids. They arrived in Mecosta abt 1872 or 1873. Also looking for info on Harry Bulmer and his wife Roseann. Harry Bulmer came from Canada in 1879 and his future wife Rose Ann Leader came in 1882. They were married in 1883 in Big Rapids and lived on a farm. Harry kept horses and hauled logs for a lumber co. Harry died in 1941. Also looking for the marriage of Bertha Bulmer and a Mr Kline or Cline in Big Rapids. This would have been abt 1920. John Cox had a brother that lived in Big Rapids and owned a Sausage Factory which burned down probably in the late 1920's or 1930's. I am also interested in finding all of their naturalization petitions as they all became citizens around 1900.

- I am searching for any information regarding William D. Grant. He married Olive Rose on May 23, 1867 in Green Twp. Mecosta Co. They had a daughter Alice Jane born in June 1869. Alice had two brothers, whose names are believed to be Floyd and Howard. William, Olive and Alice show up in the 1870 census records in Mecosta Co. but not the 1880's. - My grandmother was born in Big Rapids, Michigan 7/31/1891 to a lady by the name of Mirim Snyder (first name may vary in spelling) who after the birth took her baby and put her in a basket and left her on the G.R & I train, that was traveling between Big Rapids and Grand Rapids. I need any information about the birth or the railroad. All that Michigan would issue me is a typed form copy. Can anyone tell me the names of the hospitals in Big Rapids or if the railroad is still active. My grandmother was adopted by a couple named Thomas & Susan Allen who resided in Middleville. - In Stanwood cemetery I found markers for Joseph POTTER 1859-1931 and wife Clara E. POTTER 1857-1936. Also in that cemetery are my husband's grandparents Claude E. POTTER 1880-1956 and his wife Nellie L. (HOPKINS) POTTER 1885-1977. Are Joseph and Clara the parents of Claude POTTER? Is anyone working on this POTTER family? Also in Stanwood cemtery where Nellie HOPKINS POTTER is buried I found a Herman J.HOPKINS 1870-1915 and wife Bessie B. HOPKINS 1890-1913. Almeron Hyde HOPKINS 1845-1919 and wife Jane M. HOPKINS 1851-1926 are also buried there. Who were these people to Nellie?

Almeron (aka Hiram) Hopkins and Jane Sharp were the parents of 11 children. Herman J. Hopkins
(1870-1915); Edward Hopkins; Maud Hopkins, Merta Hopkins, Bert Hopkins (1878-1956), Lucy Hopkins, Fred Hopkins (1881-1950), Archie John Hopkins (1883-1955); and Bessie Hopkins Potter (1890-1913). Bessie was married to Harry John Potter (1882-1952). We are missing 2 children, one of which may be Nellie.

- I am looking for information on the Conrad and Mary Ann Bader family, the Edmund and Mary Zimmerman family and any information on the Nehmer family. The Bader family I have found in Big Rapids on the 1900 census, I've found where they came to the United States October 9, 1876, in Philadelphia, but I can't find them in-between. I am especially interested in the deaths of five of their children which supposedly took place during a diphtheria epidemic in the Big Rapids, Reeds City, Chase area. The family says they were in the Hersey, Reed City, Chase area. Ed and Mary Zimmerman were married and lived their lives in Big Rapids. I know the Nehmer family came to Big Rapids from Sisson/Lilly in the 1890's but before that I know nothing. I don't know when the came to America, where they landed or where they came from. I would appreciate any help anyone has to offer.

- I am researching the above names in Mecosta Co., MI. My great-great-grandfather was Charles M. DARRAH (1831-1903), who came to Big Rapids from Jefferson Co., PA in 1857. He and his younger brother James M. DARRAH were the owners of the Darrah Brothers Milling Company, located where the wastewater treatment facility is now. I have gathered a lot of info on my DARRAHs and wish to find info on the collateral lines of my family. Charles' son, Melvin Eugene "Gene" DARRAH married Nettie Rachel "Doll" TAYLOR on 1 Sep 1890 in Big Rapids. She was a daughter of Edward/Edwin Frank TAYLOR and Mary A. ??. She was born in 1864 in NY and died in 1921 in Big Rapids. Her siblings were Jessie Viola, b 1865; Samuel I., b 1868 and married Mame CASSIDAY; and Margaret Dale, b 1879 and married ?? TICKNOR. I have no other information on these people. Other collateral names include: GORE (Emma, daughter of Daniel GORE and Rheuma BEUS, who married James M. DARRAH in 1874 in Big Rapids); BIEHLER (Elizabeth, daughter of Martin BIEHLER and Elizabeth BADER, who married Wilson E. DARRAH in 1883 in Big Rapids, another son of Charles M.
