Ada Betsey (Roberts) Benscoter Obit The Kendrick Gazette Jan. 30, 1920 Vol. 30, No. 5 Mrs. J. W. Benscoter, who’s death marks the passing of another pioneer of this county, was laid to rest in the American Ridge cemetery, January 25th , beside the remains of her husband. Mr. And Mrs. Benscoter came to this county in November 1886 and bought a farm on American Ridge where they lived until Mr. Benscoter’s death, which occurred December 6, 1904. Soon after this the farm was sold and “Grandma” had since made her home among her children, five of whom survive her, two daughters, Mrs. Charles Martin of Clarkston, Wash. And Mrs. Elva Wade of Millwood, Wash., and three sons, Charles E. of Evart, Michigan, Harris N. of Clarkia, Idaho and Frank M. of Kendrick. She passed away ay the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Martin at the advanced age of 90 years, 6 months and 14 days. |
