Phelps Burying Gound Cemetery
|
Located in Scio Township on Dexter Road, running between M 17 and Dexter Village, this cemetery was on the farm of a disinterested German farmer, who argued that the living kin had removed the bodies of their relatives to Forest Lawn, Dexter. Those who had not were too poor or disinterested.
A special 'thank you' to Paulette Quartermain who donated the 1825-1940 (compiled in 1968) transcribed records for this cemetery in Dec 2001.
