Jan 2 - Good sleighing. Wheat 1.25, Hay 10.00, Potatoes .31, Butter ---- Oak logs .50 ft., -hit wood .50 pr hundred, poplar siding $10.00

Feb 2nd - 2 degrees above.
Feb 3 - 14, 4° - 14°. George Day bought and paid for the first Plaster this year. He bought two lines
Feb 6th - Wheat 1.56, corn 75., Potatoes 37 ½
Feb 12th - Charles Ervers went from here to his Uncle Jefsee. (Jessee)
Feb 15th - I bought him back 16#. He left again for his Uncle Jefsee (Jessee). I did not go after him again.
Feb 16th - Settled my guardianship of Alna S. Mc Allister thru day with himself and got his receipt in full.
March 19th - I am Fifty three years old to day. It was a Dry cold day. Roads good. My health was good the past year. Thermometer 08° in the morning and 36° at Noon.
March 18th - Mifs Frances H. Bacons school in the district ended this day. There was a celebration. Mifs Bacon gave very good satisfaction. Her wage was 3.50 pr. week and board round.
Arpil 3rd - Sold the Flouring Mill site to Volney Chapin. Twelve hundred inches of water for Fifteen hundred dollars. Chapin is to do three quarters of the repairs on the Dam & Mill race.
14th - It commenced at Noon to Snow. And we had a great snow storm. It was about six inches deep.
May 4th - My last tooth in the upper jaw was extracted.
5th - Robert Geddes sold the last of his Wheat crop for 1.62½
10th - Wheat is 1.75 pr Bu in Ann Arbor. Potatoes .27½ - Corn .69
May 17th - Rachel Eliza Terry + Joseph Kerrick were married. It was a rainy day & the next day was rainy. Myself, Wife + three children were at the Wedding & Robert L. & Jane Geddes.
June 10th - Wheat is $2.00 pr bu. 26th - Wheat is 1.75
June 26th - Bought a new One Horse wagon with two spring seats. It cost $56.50.
June 30th - Sold my One horse wagon for seven dollars to Burt.
June 26th - Thermometer 98° at 3 O'Clock, at nine O'Clock 81°
June 27th - Thermometer at four O'Clock A.M. 80°. A very warm night
June 29th - I weighed this day 147 lbs. Harrison Savage weighed 134 lbs
July 18th - Thermometer - 102°. 19th - 104½° 20th - 102° warm weather. July 24th - Newton A. Brudden sold his house in Geddesburg to William Walker for $500.00
July 21st - First new potatoes. July 31st - Wheat 1.25, corn .62
July 31st - Thermometer 102°, nine P.M. 83°
Aug 1st - Five A.M. 75°
Aug 7th - Thermometer 102°, 31st - 102°, Sept 1st - 106°, 2nd - 101°, 3rd - 104°
Aug 19th - Wheat 1.50, Sept 1st - wheat 1.56, 4th - $1.69
Sept 5th - Thermometer in morn 56°, Noon 104°, 2 O'Clock 107°, Nine P.M. 78°
Aug 14th - My daughter Sarah went to Ypsilanti Seminary., Came home Saturday. board 1.75, Tuition 3.50 per quarter
Sept. 1 - Board is + has been this Summer $2.50 per week.
Aug 30 - Rafters put on to the main building of Paper Mill.
Sept 6th - Thermometer 102°, 7th - 74° Morn, 104° Noon, 107° 2 O'Clock, 78° nine O'Clock
Sept 8th - Thermometer 102°. Night a great rain of 4 + 5 inches
Oct 4th - Thermometer 26°. First severe frost this fall. Oct 7-28th - Wheat 1.12½, Potatoes .56, Wheat $1.60, corn .50
Nov 12th - Mifs Frances H. Bacon commences teaching school in this District No. 8 at $4.00 pr week board round.
Dec 7th - Thermometer -06°, 19th - -12°, 20th - -03°, all morning 18° at nine P.M. -18°.
Dec 27th - My son John is twelve years old to day, gained 5½ lbs. height 4 feet 2½, gained 1 1/8 inches last year.
Sarah weighs 98¼ lbs, gained 2 ¼ lbs, Height ----
Rachel weighs 43¼ lbs, gained ¾ lbs, height 3 ft 10 inches
My own weight 153¼ lbs. Health good the last year.
Ann Botsford weighed 103½ lbs, gained 2½ lbs, Height 5 ft.
Celia Botsford weighs 78¼ lbs, gained ¼ lbs, Height 4 ft, 10 inches
Mary Botsford weighs 66, gained ½ lbs, Height 4 ft, 5½ inches
Amelia Botsford, weighs 55½ lbs, gained 2½, Height 4 ft, 1½ inches
Charles Powell, weighs 128½ lbs, gained 10¼, Height 5 ft, 9½ inches
