John Burns was born in Burns Mills, PA 18 August 1819. He married Mary
Myers in the Bedford Presbyterian Church 7 October 1856. While he lived
at Burns Mills he had two children: Alice J. who was born 1857 and
Franklin who was born 1860. About 1865 John Burns moved his family to
Charlevoix County, MI. The Census of 1870 shows that he owned a farm on
the South side of Lake Charlevoix. While living there four children were
born: Anna Mary born 1867, Thompson born 1870, John II born 1873 and Effa
born 1877. The John Burns family is in the census of 1880 of Charlevoix
County. We do not have any contact with his living descendants. Please
contact me if you have information about the members of the John Burns
Family.
