Reading The Atlas Indexes

These indexes are transcribed from old atlas and plat materials. As with any index of handwritten or historic records, there may be transcription or typing errors. Please email corrections if you find them.

Places of business, residences, and parcels of land are generally entered under the owner's last name when known. Mills, springs, and similar features may list the land owner in parenthesis.

Index Notes

A number in parenthesis after a person's name indicates how many times the name appears in that section of the township or village. Some places may appear more than once when they are shown on more than one map or plat.
