Burt

Burt Township, is located in the heart of Superior country.  The village of Grand Marais is the hub of the township. 

Burt Township covers 239 square miles with 25 miles of Lake Superior shoreline.  There are 5,186 acres of water inside the boundary lines.

Burt is rather small, with a year-round population of just 488.  In the summer, the number of people nearly doubles to 800.
