Christmas

Christmas is located 4-1/2 miles west of Munising.  Businesses in the community maintain a Christmas theme throughout the year. 

In 1877 the village of Onota was completely destroyed by fire never rebuilt. In 1940 the village of Christmas was started near the old Onota site. The name was selected to help promote a local toy factory, which was also later destroyed by fire.
