1 According to the 35th Infantry Regiment Association, CPL Arthur R. Ikkala was awarded the following decorations: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Purple Heart, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Korea Service Medal, and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.

2 MSGT Perry's tombstone shows date of death as 31 Dec 1953.  Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery in Munising.  According to his tombstone, MSGT Perry was awarded the Bronze Star Medal and the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster (meaning he'd been injured previously and received the Purple Heart for it.  The Oak Leaf Cluster signifies an additional award, this time of the Purple Heart.)  His tombstone photo is here.
