Audrey L. Beauchaine, age 81, of Liberty Street, AuTrain, died at her home with her family around her on Sunday, December 17, 2006 at 7:40 a.m. She was born in Munising on July 31, 1925 to the late Roy and Adella (Doucette) Bonevelle. Audrey graduated from William G. Mather High School in 1942. After graduation, she spent two years working at the Beach Inn. Audrey then worked at the Munising Woodenware until she was twenty-one. She married William “Bill” Beauchaine on October 19, 1946. Audrey then became a full time homemaker raising their ten children in AuTrain. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, putting together jigsaw puzzles, and loved playing bingo. Audrey was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church in AuTrain where she was a member of the Altar Society.
Audrey is survived by her ten children - Carolyn (James) Steinhoff of AuTrain, Patricia (Gus) Marentette of AuTrain, Diane (John) Maki of Munising, William “Bill” Beauchaine of Laingsburg, MI, Terry (Margi) Beauchaine of Munising, Joseph “Joe” (Karen) Beauchaine of Trenary, Thomas “Tom” Beauchaine of AuTrain, Ronald “Randy” (Connie) Beauchaine of AuTrain, Catherine “Cindy” (Pete) Selander of Perkins, and Joyce Beauchaine of Munising; sister - Marjorie “Marjie” Kroupa of AuTrain, brothers and sisters-in-law - David (Dorothy) Beauchine, Larry Beauchaine, and Ethel Bonevelle; 32 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 41 years Bill, parents Roy and Adella, her four brothers: Wally, Ron, Clayton, and infant Jerry Bonevelle, grandson Daniel Beauchaine, and son-in-law Gerald “Bud” Rose.
Visitation will be held at the Bowerman Funeral Home in Munising on Tuesday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Father Chris Gardiner will conduct Audrey’s funeral in the funeral home’s chapel on Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be the Serenity Pines Cemetery in AuTrain. She will be escorted by her grandsons Jimmy Joe, Duane, Bobby, Billy, Terry Allen, Joey, Richard, Timmy, and, Kenny.
