Obituary

James "Jim" Monhead
(October 22, 1963 - March 19, 2007)

Munising

E. James Jim Monhead, age 43, formerly of Munising, passed away on Monday, March 19, 2007, in Conway, Arkansas surrounded by his family after a long courageous battle with leukemia. Jim was born on October 22, 1963 to Ernie and Judy (Gamelin) Monhead in Munising. Jim was a loving husband, father, and a brand new grandfather to Kylee. Jim was an avid sports fan. He loved the Green Bay Packers and although he left twenty odd years ago for Arkansas, his heart still bled Maize and Blue for the Michigan Wolverines. Jim also inquired often about the Munising Mustangs who he played football and basketball for. Jim was very loved and will be sadly missed by all who knew and touched his life.

Jim is survived by his loving wife Lisa; his children Samantha (Kyle) Pemberton, James Monhead, Michael Livingston, and Summer McClung all of Arkansas; his father Ernest Monhead of Munising; brother Frank Monhead of Jackson, Mississippi; sisters Lisa (Dan) Singer and Tammy Sue Monhead both of Fenton, Michigan; maternal grandmother Agnes Gamelin of Mayflower, AR; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jim was preceded in death by his mother Judy Monhead, maternal grandfather Louis Crow Gamelin, and paternal grandparents John and Wilma Monhead.

Services for Jim were held at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, Arkansas on Thursday, March 22, 2007. Graveside services will take place at a later date at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Munising.
