Earlane Joseph Passinault
(November 23, 1938 - June 21, 2008)
 

Munising / Zephyrhills FL

Earlane Joseph “Peter” Passinault, age 69, of Zephyrhills, Florida entered his eternal rest on June 21, 2008 at the Gulfside Regional Hospice in Dade City, Florida. He was born on November 23, 1938 to Earl J. and Julia M. Passinault in Munising, Michigan. Peter attended the Sacred Heart School and Wm. G. Mather High School in Munising, and while in school he helped his dad working at the family riding stable. He enlisted into the United States Marine Corp on January 8, 1957. While in the Marines Peter spent thirteen months in Japan, and was awarded a Certificate of Good Conduct before he was honorably discharged as a Lance Corporal (E-3) Air Wing Jet Mechanic on January 7, 1960. He moved to Kenosha, WI working for a company building screen rooms on homes. Peter married his wife Dawn in the late 1960’s and together had three children. In December of 1973 he moved to Florida and worked as a painter before going back to building screen rooms and pool enclosures until he retired in 2001. Peter married Betti Craven while living in Florida. He enjoyed riding beginning with his tricycle, bicycle, moped and then to his motorcycle, which enjoyed riding across the Florida country side with his brother Bruce when ever they could. Peter also enjoyed working on cars, wood working, and going to flee markets, yard sales and thrift stores. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church.

Peter is survived by Betti; three children – Brendie, Brian, and Cheryl; mother – Julia M. Passinalt of Munising; brother – Bruce Passinalult of Tampa, FL; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father – Earl J. Passinault; sister – Elaine Therese Passinault –Worthing; brother-in-law Lyle Worthing; aunt – Rita Pond – Hedglin; and Niece Amy Worthing.

Fr. Chris Gardiner will offer a Mass in memory of Peter on Friday, August 29, 2008 at Sacred Heart Church at 12:10 p.m.
