I am looking for information on members of the THOMAS Family who came from Logan or Jefferson Counties in Ohio and were involved in the Underground Railroad in Schoolcraft. My gggrandfather was Dr. Nathaniel THOMAS who married Marcia SMITH and whose daughter Jesse was born in Flowerfield in 1853. They moved to Prairie Ronde (Schoolcraft) after that where he practiced medicine for 50 years. There was also a Nathan Macy THOMAS who married Pamela S. BROWN and had Ella, Malcolm and Stanton B. There are papers housed at the U of M that Nathan wrote. Any info on these or other such Thomases would be appreciated.

I am looking for information about the "A.C. WORTLEY" metal/silver manufacturing company located in Kalamazoo. I have six coin silver teaspoons made by that company with the additional marking of an eagle and the initials "H & S" on the back of the handle of the spoon. Based on the
initials "E.W." on the spoons, I believe that the teaspoons were made for my great-great-great-grandmother Elsie Staats WHITBECK sometime during the 1860-75 time period, probably before she married her second husband Jacob TREMPER or
TRIMPER. If anyone is aware of any facts about her second marriage I would be grateful to know them, for I cannot pin down her whereabouts during that time.
