Searching
for info on Nellie Della KNOWLES, daughter of Tom Knowles. Tom was an undertaker
and possibly a store owner in Walkerville, MI. Nellie was probably born
in Walkerville. She married Ariel GLEASON (son of Archibald& Clarissa
[BEAL] Gleason) who was originally from Ohio. Ariel came to Newaygo Co.
in 1865. Ariel & Nellie's son Archie Edward Gleason was born in 1895
in Volney, MI. I believe that Nellie had a half brother named Charles.
I would like birth & death dates for Nellie, Tom and Ariel. Also looking
for Nellie's birth mother with her dates. News articles and references
to Tom KNOWLES' store would also be wonderful. Also researching Leona (or
Leana) WAKEFIELD, b. Feb 1853 in New York. She married Charles Newville
(b. 17 MAR 1848 NY; d. 07 MAR 1904 in Newaygo Co). Leona gave birth to
at least 7 children, the youngest of whom (Mary b.12 Apr 1897) was born
at Klondike. The couple first lived near Ravenna and later in Cole Creek
a while. I'm looking for Leona's date & place of death; any news articles
or other literature mentioning her or her husband & children; names
of her parents.

I am
looking for sisters and brothers of Ella M. Postl Holter and Francis Postl
Bourdon. All are deceased. They were born in MN and both died while living
in Muskegon. (bef 1990). Francis was married to Norman Bourdon and they
lived by Heritage Landing overlooking the Muskegon Channel. It is my understanding
that Norman's family had a mill somewhere along Muskegon Lake. Any historical
information would be appreciated. I have just begun to research my family
and have considerable lineage of my mother's family (both sides) and my
father's family (his father's side). I am having trouble finding out my
grandmother's side of the family (Ella Postl Holter). Please email me with
any information.
