The Lansing Branch of the Genealogical Society Library of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has access to most of the microfilm copies of genealogical records from all over the world held at Salt Lake City. It is located in Room 16, northeast side of the church at 431 East Saginaw, (M-78), East Lansing, Michigan. Hours open: Tuesday - 2:30PM - 9:30PM; Wednesday and Thursday - 6:30PM - 9:30PM; Saturday - 10:00AM - 6:00PM. The Library is closed on National Holidays. Correspondence should be sent to: Lansing Branch Genealogical Library, Box 801, East Lansing, Michigan 48823.
Michigan State Library, 735 East Michigan Ave., Lansing, Michigan, also is a very good reference. Hours open: Weekdays - 9:00AM - 5:00PM; Saturdays - 9:00AM - 12:00 Noon. Closed Sundays and Holidays.
The History Room of the Kalamazoo Public Library can borrow reference books from other Public Libraries for your use. Check this out, it might be helpful. This service may be available in other area libraries, it doesn't hurt to ask.
