Arenac Co Land Records

Land records for the area that is today’s Arenac County begin around 1831-83 when it was formed from the Territory of Michigan’s Oakland County. Land is the topic of deeds and property transferals, but it is also a subject that may be addressed in some marriage records and court-related death records. The county officially began keeping land records in 1882, and probate and other court records in 1883. Marriage and death records began to be systematically recorded in 1883.
