PEARSON, ROBINSON posted by Teressa Linacre on Thursday, October 9, 1997

Harry Elletson ROBINSON was my great-grandfather. He was born April 2, 1887 in East Jordan (Charlevoix Co.) MI. He died on Feb. 20,1956 in Fostoria, Ohio. His parents were the Rev. George S. ROBINSON (a methodist minister) and Emma PEARSON. His siblings were Edna, Faye, Jesse, Mamie and Ruth- all ROBINSON. I don't know birthdates for them. In the early 1900s the family lived in Portland (Ionia County) MI. I don't know if the family was originally from Charlevoix Co. or if George ROBINSON was ever a minister there but he was in Portland, MI I would appreciate any information about this family. Thanks!

COURSER posted by Deanna McCormack on Thursday, October 9, 1997

Hi I am looking for information on my Courser relatives. I have found them on the 1850 census of Orange,Ionia County,Mi.Or atleast I think I did! Owen Adelbert Courser was born 18 June 1867 Ionia Mi married 16 April 1891 in Aiken Minnesota to Amelia Elizabeth Caza.He died 9 March 1960. I know he is the son of Ira Courser and Ann Williams. I believe Ira was born 1831 in Vermont and Ann was born 1833 in New York. I do not have any concrete information on Owen Adelbert other than the information my great aunt gave me. I believe his father Ira remained in the Michigan area until he died. I would like to get a birth certificate, any newspaper clippings and or any solid evidence that he was infact in Ionia MI.
