FROST, PAXSON posted by Elaine Bennett-Sharp on Friday, December 12, 1997

I am interested in finding information about the Frost surname in Ionia Co. My great-aunt, Leola (Paxson) Frost was married to Maxie Frost. He died not long after they were married, many years before I was born. I was told that he was a builder, and that he had built the home in Dearborn where my "Aunt Leola" lived. She died in 1970, at age 71, I think, and is buried in Belding, though I do not know the name of the cemetery. I basically know nothing about her husband's family, and am curious about his background. I'm afraid there is no one left in my family who can tell me any more details about my great-uncle Maxie Frost. If my memory serves correctly, the houses in Dearborn, MI were built about 1930, and I believe that is about when he and Leola were married. I do not know what year he died. I recall that Maxie had a brother who was an attorney or insurance man, but I do not know his name. Yes, Maxie and Leola lived in Dearborn, but his family roots must have been in Ionia County, or else it makes no sense for them to be buried clear over in Belding, as they are.

GREGORY, MUSSELMAN posted by Sherlene Schmitt- Belden on Tuesday, December 30, 1997

Does anyone have information on TOBIAS GREGORY and his wife Emma? They are buried in the Danby Twp. Cemetery, Ionia Co., MI. I believe Tobias' parents are James S. GREGORY and Elthine MUSSELMAN (d. before 1880), possibly from Monroe Co, MI, however on his death record it only lists his father as James and mother as unknown. I have been unable to locate obituaries for any of the above. I also believe Tobias had 2 sisters, Addie (probably Adelaide) and Minnie (probably Marian). Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
