GREGORY posted by Sherlene Schmitt- Belden on Saturday, January 2, 1999

Does anyone have any information about Arthur J. GREGORY or his family? His obituary was published in the Portland, Ionia County, newspaper in the Tuesday, July 16, 1929, edition and reads as follows: ARTHUR J. GREGORY DIES SUDDENLY ON DANBY FARM Located there THREE years ago; former resident of LANSING Five minutes after Arthur J. Gregory returned to his farm home after doing the chores at the barn, Saturday morning, he passed away. He had been ailing several days but on Friday worked in the fields. Saturday morning (that would have been the 13th) he was not feeling well, but no such results were looked for. Mr. Gregory moved to Danby about three years ago, coming from Lansing, and located on the SHEURER farm, near that of SCOTT SHEETS. He is survived by his wife and four daughters. Two are married and live in Lansing, two residing at home. Funeral services are to be held at the house Monday afternoon. Burial will probably be in Danby cemetery. Please note, His birth and cemetery records lists his name as Tobias GREGORY! Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Sherlene Schmitt-Belden Allegan, MI
